It does not cure the disease or undo damage already done. Taken long term, it helps keep the symptoms under better control.
How to take memantine 10mg
Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, once or twice a day at roughly the same times. Treatment usually starts on a low dose that goes up week by week, so the first weeks may use less than the long-term amount. The kidneys clear memantine, so someone with much-reduced kidney function is given a lower maintenance dose.
Side effects
