Women's health covers several different needs at once: contraception, the hormonal changes of menopause and irregular cycles, ovulation and pregnancy sickness, and conditions such as osteoporosis, unwanted facial hair and thrush. Each group below is a different job.
Contraception
The combined pill is the biggest group. Yasmin, also sold as Drospirenone And Ethinyl Estradiol, is 3/0.03mg and is also listed for acne and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (severe pre-period mood symptoms). Desogestrel versions are Novelon, Femilon and Desogestrel And Ethinyl Estradiol; Alesse, Levlen and Ovral use levonorgestrel or norgestrel instead. Combined pills are taken at about the same time every day, and missed pills lower protection. Smoking raises the risk of blood clots with any of them. Plan B is a single 1.5mg levonorgestrel tablet for emergency contraception after unprotected sex.
Diane 35 and Cyproterone Acetate And Ethinylestradiol (2/0.035mg) are in the same pill form but are listed for severe acne and excess hair growth in women.
Menopause and cycle hormones
For hot flushes and night sweats there is Estradiol in 1mg and 2mg, the brand Estrace, Tibofem 2.5mg, which is tibolone rather than an oestrogen, and Conjugated Estrogens 0.625mg. Estriol Topical is a 15g tube for vaginal dryness and discomfort after the menopause; it acts locally, so it targets dryness rather than hot flushes.
A woman who still has her womb takes a progestogen alongside estrogen, which protects the womb lining. That is Prometrium (progesterone, 100mg and 200mg capsules), or the tablets Provera, Cycrin and Medroxyprogesterone in 5mg and 10mg, and Duphaston or Dydrogesterone 10mg. The same progestogens are used for irregular or missed periods and endometriosis, as is Aygestin 5mg (norethindrone acetate).
Ovulation, prolactin and pregnancy sickness
Clomid and Clomiphene (25mg, 50mg, 100mg) are taken for a few days each cycle by women who do not ovulate regularly. Cabergoline and Dostinex (0.25mg, 0.5mg) lower prolactin, a hormone that when raised can stop periods. Diclegis combines doxylamine and pyridoxine, 10mg of each, for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy.
Bone, breast, skin and thrush
Raloxifene 60mg treats osteoporosis after the menopause. For hormone-sensitive breast cancer there are Tamoxifen (10mg, 20mg), Anastrozole and Arimidex at 1mg, and Femara (letrozole) at 2.5mg, all of which work by cutting the estrogen signal that feeds these cancers. Eflornithine and Vaniqa are 13.9% creams that slow the growth of facial hair; shaving or plucking carries on alongside them. Lomexin 600mg is a vaginal suppository for thrush.

Do you sell creams as well as tablets for women's health?
Yes. Eflornithine 13.9% comes in tubes for unwanted facial hair, and estriol topical comes in 15g tubes. Tablets include drospirenone + ethinyl estradiol 3/0.03mg (generic Yasmin), clomiphene 25/50/100mg, generic Clomid, estradiol 1/2mg and progesterone 100/200mg.
How discreet is ordering women's health products to Hong Kong?
Orders arrive in plain, unbranded packaging. Tracked courier takes 5–9 business days; standard airmail takes 14–21 business days and is untracked. See delivery and ordering details.
How soon should I take Plan B after unprotected sex?
As soon as possible. Plan B works best the sooner it is taken and is licensed for use within 72 hours, or three days, of unprotected sex. It is a one-off back-up, not a regular method.
Why is progesterone taken with estradiol?
Estrogen alone can thicken the lining of the womb over time. A progestogen such as progesterone, medroxyprogesterone or dydrogesterone keeps the lining in check, so women with a womb take both. After a hysterectomy estrogen can be taken alone.
What is Diane 35 used for?
Diane 35 combines cyproterone acetate with ethinylestradiol. It is listed for severe acne and for excess hair growth (hirsutism) linked to androgen hormones, and because it stops ovulation it also works as a contraceptive.
How does clomiphene work?
Clomiphene blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, which makes the body release more of the hormones that trigger ovulation. It is taken for several days at the start of the cycle and suits women whose ovulation is irregular or absent.
