FAQ
Which Armotraz pack sizes can I order?
Armotraz 1mg tablets come in packs of 10, 20, 30, 60 or 90. Your order contains Armotraz, the branded generic, not a substitute. Every product page lists the price per tablet in Hong Kong dollars, and buying a larger pack lowers the price per tablet.
Does Armotraz arrive in discreet packaging?
Yes. Every order ships in plain, unbranded packaging with nothing on the outside about the contents. You can choose tracked courier, which takes 5 to 9 business days with online tracking, or untracked standard airmail at 14 to 21 business days.
What are the alternative names for Armotraz and anastrozole?
Armotraz is a branded generic of anastrozole, the ingredient in Arimidex. Here, anastrozole can be bought online as Armotraz, and also as generic Arimidex. These are generics, not the original brand.
Is Armotraz the same as Arimidex?
They contain the same active ingredient, anastrozole, in the same 1mg strength, so one tablet a day is the routine either way. The difference comes down to the brand: Arimidex is the original product, while Armotraz is a branded generic.
How long do you stay on Armotraz?
Usually several years. Anastrozole keeps working only while it is being taken, so treatment often continues long after surgery and radiotherapy have finished — it is not a short course you complete in a few weeks.
Is Armotraz a chemotherapy drug?
No. Armotraz is a hormonal treatment: it lowers oestrogen rather than attacking fast-dividing cells directly, as chemotherapy does. In early breast cancer it is used alongside surgery or radiotherapy, and it keeps working only while the tablets are being taken.
Does Armotraz weaken your bones?
It can, because the body has less oestrogen to protect bone. Density tends to fall gradually over a long course, which raises the chance of a fracture. This is a recognised effect of aromatase inhibitors rather than a rare one.
About Armotraz
What Armotraz does
Armotraz is a tablet form of anastrozole, one of the aromatase inhibitors. Breast cancers that depend on oestrogen grow while the hormone is around; these tablets cut how much the body makes, so those cells slow down or stop multiplying. It is used in women who have passed the menopause — after surgery or radiotherapy for early disease, on its own once the cancer has spread within the breast or elsewhere, and when tamoxifen has stopped holding it back.
Taking your daily tablet
One 1mg tablet goes down with a glass of water, at any time of day and with or without a meal. Armotraz is a long-haul medicine, often taken for years, so it helps to tie it to something you already do every day, such as brushing your teeth.
Side effects to expect
Hot flushes and night sweats are the most familiar complaints. Stiff joints and muscles come next, along with headaches and tiredness. Some people get nausea, constipation, loose stools or indigestion, a poorer appetite or weight gain; others notice low mood, broken sleep, thinning hair, vaginal dryness or bleeding, or pins and needles in the hands and feet. Bone is the long-term concern: with less oestrogen around, bone thins gradually, so a fracture becomes more likely after years on the tablets.
A few problems need urgent care: chest pain, a red swollen arm or hand, sudden loss of vision, a feverish illness with a sore throat, yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes, a spreading rash, or puffiness of the face, lips or throat.
Medicines that work against it
Anything containing oestrogen cancels part of anastrozole's effect, so hormone replacement therapy and hormonal contraceptives are not taken alongside it. Tamoxifen and raloxifene interfere as well.
Armotraz or Arimidex?
Two anastrozole listings sit in the shop, both 1mg tablets. Arimidex is the original brand name; Armotraz is another brand of the same ingredient. There is no other strength or form to choose between, so the pack name and pack size are what you are picking.
