What you will receive
Eurax is the originator brand name, made by Novartis. We use it to identify the medicine; the pack you receive is a generic equivalent, not the original Eurax.

FAQ
Can I buy Eurax by the tube?
Eurax is a 5% cream sold in single tubes, and you can order one, two, three, four or five at once. This is generic crotamiton, not the original Eurax. The price per tube is shown on the page in Hong Kong dollars.
What arrives when I order Eurax?
Your Eurax order travels as a cream in plain, unbranded packaging with nothing on the outside about the contents. Tracked courier takes 5 to 9 business days with online tracking. If the parcel arrives damaged, it is sent again free.
How do you use Eurax for scabies?
Apply a thin layer of the cream to the whole body from the chin down, including between the fingers, under the nails, wrists, armpits, buttocks and genital area. Leave it on for 24 hours, wash it off, then repeat once after another 24 hours. Avoid the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.
How long does Eurax take to stop itching?
Itching often starts to ease within a few hours of the first application, but scabies itch can take a week or more to settle completely after the mites are gone. If the itch is from dry skin or another irritation, the cream may need to be used two or three times a day.
Can I use Eurax with other skin creams?
Do not apply another medicated cream, ointment or lotion to the same area at the same time as Eurax. If you use a moisturiser, leave a gap between products so the Eurax can stay in contact with the skin.
Does Eurax treat scabies after one application?
Usually two applications are needed, 24 hours apart, to clear scabies. The first application starts killing the mites; the second helps catch any that hatched after the first. Itching can continue after treatment even when the mites are gone.
How should I store Eurax cream?
Keep the tube closed and store it below 25°C, away from children and pets. Do not use it after the expiry date on the tube, and do not freeze it.
About Eurax
What Eurax cream is for
Eurax contains crotamiton 5%, a medicine that goes straight onto the skin. It is used for scabies — an infestation by tiny mites that burrow into the skin and cause an intense itch — and for itchy skin that is not caused by an infection. Crotamiton works in two ways: it attacks the mites, and it calms the nerve endings in the skin that make you want to scratch. Scabies spreads easily through close contact, so the itch and rash often appear in the same places on more than one person in a household.
How to apply Eurax
For scabies, spread a thin layer over the whole body from the chin down. Do not miss the spaces between fingers, under the nails, the wrists, armpits, buttocks and genital area. Leave the cream on for 24 hours, wash it off, then apply it again 24 hours later. For ordinary itchy skin, rub a small amount into the itchy area two or three times a day. Keep it away from the eyes, mouth, nose and other moist surfaces. Wash your hands after applying it, unless your hands are being treated. The cream is for use on the skin only.
Side effects and interactions
Some people get mild burning, stinging, redness or itching where the cream is applied. These usually settle as treatment continues. A severe allergic reaction is rare but needs urgent help: swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing, or a widespread rash. Do not put other medicated creams or ointments on the same patch of skin at the same time as Eurax. If your skin becomes very sore or blistered, stop using it.
Storage and handling
Keep the tube closed and store it below 25°C. Put it somewhere children and pets cannot reach. Do not freeze it. Check the expiry date before you use it. Eurax is a cream, so it is applied to the skin rather than taken by mouth.
