What you will receive

Myrbetriq is the originator brand name, made by Astellas. We use it to identify the medicine; the pack you receive is a generic equivalent, not the original Myrbetriq.

  • The same active ingredient (Mirabegron) at the same strength.
  • The exact brand supplied depends on what is in stock when your order ships.

FAQ

Which Myrbetriq strengths and pack sizes can I order?

Myrbetriq comes as 50mg tablets, in packs of 30 to 120 tablets. It is generic mirabegron, not the original Myrbetriq. Larger packs cost less per tablet.

How can I pay for Myrbetriq to Hong Kong?

You can pay for Myrbetriq by Visa, Mastercard or American Express on a secure, encrypted payment page, or by Bitcoin or Ethereum. Card details never reach the shop's servers. Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours if not yet dispatched.

Does Myrbetriq have other names?

Myrbetriq is a brand name of mirabegron, which is also sold as Betmiga. Here, mirabegron can be bought online as generic Myrbetriq. These are generics, not the original brand.

Is Myrbetriq a diuretic?

No. A diuretic pushes more water out through the kidneys, so you pass urine more often. Mirabegron works the other way: it relaxes the detrusor muscle in the bladder wall, so the bladder can fill further before the urge to go builds.

Is Myrbetriq the same as oxybutynin?

No, they are different medicines. Oxybutynin is an antimuscarinic — it blocks acetylcholine signals to the bladder muscle — while mirabegron stimulates beta-3 receptors. Both are used for overactive bladder, but they are separate ingredients with their own side-effect patterns.

What happens if I stop taking Myrbetriq?

The sudden urges and frequent toilet trips generally come back. Mirabegron holds the symptoms down while it is being taken and does not cure the bladder problem, so its effect fades once the tablets stop. Nothing has to be tapered first.

Will Myrbetriq help leaking when I cough or sneeze?

No, that is stress incontinence, which comes from pressure on the bladder when you cough, sneeze or lift, not from a sudden urge. Mirabegron is meant for urgency: the strong, sudden need to go and any leaking that follows it.

About Myrbetriq

What Myrbetriq is used for

If your bladder signals with almost no warning — a sudden, urgent need to go that you cannot put off — and you are up and down to the toilet day and night, that is an overactive bladder. When the urge arrives so fast that urine leaks before you reach the toilet, it is called urge incontinence. Mirabegron, the medicine in Myrbetriq, treats these symptoms in adults, on its own or alongside solifenacin, another tablet for the same condition. The tablets sold here are generic mirabegron, 50mg extended-release.

How the 50mg tablet works

Mirabegron belongs to the beta-3 agonist group. It acts on beta-3 receptors in the wall of the bladder, and the effect is to keep the detrusor — the muscle that squeezes urine out — relaxed while the bladder fills. Holding more, comfortably, means fewer and gentler urges. Symptoms ease rather than the underlying condition being cured, and the full benefit can take 8 weeks or more to appear.

In practice the tablet becomes part of the morning: one 50mg tablet with the first drink of the day, swallowed whole because the coating is what lets it release slowly, and chewing or splitting it would let the dose out too fast. Breakfast makes no real difference. On a day when it slips your mind, a tablet remembered by early evening is still fine if it is within 12 hours of the usual time; beyond that, just carry on tomorrow, since two tablets in one day is never the answer.

Side effects worth knowing

Headache, a dry mouth, constipation and dizziness turn up most often, and blood pressure can edge upwards while you are taking it. Some people find it harder to pass urine; if the bladder does not empty properly, urine can be held back, and being completely unable to go needs urgent attention. A rare allergic reaction — swelling of the face, lips or throat with breathing trouble — is an emergency.

Other medicines and storage

Mirabegron blocks CYP2D6, an enzyme that clears some other drugs, so metoprolol (used for blood pressure and heart rate) and the antidepressant desipramine can act more strongly than expected. Rifampicin, a tuberculosis antibiotic, reduces how much mirabegron stays in the body. Store the pack in a dry, cool spot, out of direct sunlight.
