Viagra tablets and strengths
The Viagra listing is generic sildenafil for erectile dysfunction (ED, also called impotence), and it covers a long run of strengths: 25mg, 50mg, 100mg, 120mg, 130mg, 150mg and 200mg tablets. Sildenafil blocks an enzyme called PDE5, and that lets the blood vessels in the penis stay relaxed once arousal starts, so blood flows in and an erection holds. The tablet only helps if you are aroused. It does nothing for desire itself.

How Viagra is taken
Sildenafil is taken only when needed. About 1 hour before sex is the usual timing, though a tablet can be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours ahead, and no more than once a day. The effect fades after a few hours, so each tablet covers one occasion rather than a whole weekend.
Side effects and cautions
Headache, flushing of the face, indigestion, a stuffy nose and dizziness are the common ones. Some men notice a blue tinge to colours or slightly blurred vision for a short while. Any erection that outlasts four hours, or an abrupt loss of sight or hearing, should be treated as an emergency.
Sildenafil must not be taken with nitrate medicines for angina (chest pain), including nitroglycerin and isosorbide, or with amyl nitrite "poppers". The mix can send blood pressure sharply down. Alpha-blockers and other blood pressure medicines add to the drop, and some antibiotics, antifungals and HIV medicines raise sildenafil levels. Keep the pack in a dry spot at normal room temperature.
Viagra and the other sildenafil listings
